Dear Friends,

I would like to draw your attention to a most interesting talk by a leading scholar on transatlantic relations.  On Tuesday coming - Feb. 24 at 5.30pm (Pleasants Family Room) - Prof. Federiga Bindi of the University of Rome, Italy, will talk about "The End of U.S. Global Leadership? Why the U.S. and Europe are Doomed to Irrelevance."  ALL WELCOME

Prof. Bindi is a outstanding expert on U.S.-European relations and a senior fellow at the Center for Transatlantic Relations at Johns Hopkins University/SAIS in Washington, DC.  Her talk promises to shed new light on the Obama administration's foreign policy toward Europe and the wider world. Please see the flyer below.

As you know Russian Ambassador Kislyak's talk needed to be postponed.
The Ambassador will now come in April (precise date to be confirmed). I will keep you informed.

Prof. Stephen Rabe's recent talk on "Torture, Murder and Genocide: Cold War Memories in Latin America and the United States"
is now available on our you tube channel: https://www.youtube.com/KrasnoUNC

I look forward to seeing you at Federiga Bindi's talk on Tuesday.

With my best wishes,
Klaus Larres
